Out of Hiding

October 8, 2008 — Matt— 3 comments

September and October have been fabulously busy months for me, which can explain a bit of the radio silence on this blog. I just wrapped two large client projects — one a commercial real estate investment portfolio with great professional photography, and the other a really exciting microfinance project that’s due to launch by the end of the month. Sandwiched somewhere in between were a number of subcontracting projects for a couple great firms.

Also, I managed to sneak in some short vacations to San Francisco and New York. Both were wonderful trips — refreshing times that helped to reset my perspective on things. All work and no play really does make Jack a dull boy.

Still, the most important bit — I got engaged. I’m lucky in many ways, but proposing to the most wonderful person in my life surely tops all else. I’ve been smiling about this for over a week, and it doesn’t show any signs of letting up. It’s just like that adage — when you know, you’ll know.

Anyhow, I feel refreshed and focused, and this blog is far from over. Stay tuned.

The concept was to cut through the overloading of technical information surrounding digital cameras, with some simple and direct advice. Just spend a few […]

Been Busy

When it rains it pours right? I’ve been pretty busy this year. More than just busy though, I’ve been extremely lucky to work on some amazing projects with some wonderful teams and smart people.

Growing Pains: From Freelance to Agency

Refreshed
This is embarrassingly tardy, but I wanted to say thanks to all those attended my Seattle Refresh presentation a few weeks ago. My presentation was largely a follow up to a previous Refresh talk I gave, about my first few months of freelancing.
This time, I talked about my recent switch from strictly freelancing to a more […]
