Café Presse

While it’s a bit more of restaurant & bar than a cafe, Café Presse does also live up to it’s name. It offers a great, open atmosphere for remote working (a big, naturally lit space), great coffee (from Cafe Vita), and wonderful breakfast and lunch food of the French sort. The wait staff is friendly and courteous of you working, as long as it’s on off-peak hours.

Location: 1117 12th Ave, Seattle WA 98122
Best times to go: M-F anytime before 4pm. Real menu starts at 9am.
What to order: Croque Madame (French Egg Sandwich — Egg, Cheese, Ham, Bread, and more egg)
Where to sit: On the bar stools by the window, or tables in front if it’s not busy
Wi-fi: Reliable and fast. No funny stuff.

Nice one! I love this place. It does get crowded but the food and atmosphere are great. Sometimes they have baked eggs with ham and Gruyere. I would highly recommend it.

What’s with this new-found love of egg?

I like to spend hours procrastinating, cooking hobo beans over a space-heater in my office that is far from everything, while I lose clients and destroy relationships.

Someday I will get ambition and joie d’vie.

…it’s hard to beat an afternoon snack of les pommes-frites (dip them in mustard or mayo or both) and a glass of your favorite wine.

Good change-of-pace-breakfast: croissant and small bibb lettuce salad.

    Look out for Trevor…
